The nursing home in Yvonand is based on a mass-timber skeleton structure with a timber-concrete composite ribbed slabs. An innovative solution was developed to allow for the use of visible timber without relying on sprinklers in this building with high fire safety requirements. This solution reduces the costs for the client while preserving the desired aesthetic.
