At RISE – Responsible Innovative Structural Engineers – we bring complex construction ideas to fruition in close collaboration with our clients, architects, and all project partners. We develop efficient, durable and environmentally conscious structural solutions that support both architectural intent and technical performance.
Our passion lies in timber structures, thoughtfully combined with other materials to make the best use of their respective strengths. Our work spans a wide range of projects, including offices, schools, residential buildings, and the retrofitting of heritage structures.

Simon is passionate about collaborating with like-minded people to develop innovative and effective structural solutions. He enjoys working across a wide range of structures, combining materials to create solutions tailored to the specific needs of each project.
After completing his Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering at HEIA-FR, he specialized in complex timber structures during his Master’s at BFH-AHB. He gained design and detailing experience in Switzerland and Canada on a variety of projects, including schools, offices, housing, and heritage-listed buildings. One of his particular areas of expertise is timber–concrete composite slabs, a field he continues to develop in collaboration with ETH. Upon returning to Switzerland in 2025, he founded RISE – Responsible Innovative Structural Engineers.
